Salkantay - Machu Picchu 3 days 2 nights

DAY 1

CUSCO - SORAYPAMPA - CHAULLAY

Very early we leave Cusco, passing through the towns of Izcuchaca and Limatambo and after 3 hours of travel from Cusco we arrive at Soraypampa.

After a refreshing breakfast. We begin the trek of the day, this will be a day full of adventures because we will visit the Salkantay lagoon, we will continue until we reach the highest point of the Salkantay pass and Humantay imposing snowy located over 4,650 meters above sea level. From there we will be able to appreciate all the majesty of the zone, its chain of mountains, glaciers and gorges, we will feel the magic of the Andes, after a refreshing rest we will begin the slow descent towards Huayracmachay, place where we will have lunch and a deserved rest we continue descending, we will enter to the eyebrow of jungle where we will have indescribable views of the place to then continue until our first camp in the sector of Chaullay where we will have dinner and spend the night.

DAY 2

CHAULLAY - BEACH - SANTA TERESA - MACHUPICCHU PUEBLO

This day will be unforgettable. After breakfast we will continue with the walk through the eyebrow of the jungle, we will appreciate the flora and fauna of this area, especially the coffee plantations, tea, trees, the climate is temperate and humid in this area, so it has formed a micro climate favorable for the production of orchids for their colors and variety have been ranked by experts as the most beautiful in the world, we will continue with the camita to reach the hydroelectric station, for lunch.

After a rest we continue with the hike to the town of Aguas Calientes 2000 m.a.s.l. (Optional: You can go to the thermal baths that is at a distance of 1.2 kilometers from the town), in the evening we will have dinner and accommodation in hotel.

DAY 3

HOT SPRINGS - MACHUPICCHU - CUSCO.

Very early in the morning, immediately after breakfast at the lodge, we will go by bus to the citadel of Machupicchu uphill for half an hour, until we reach the access point and entrance control Machupicchu where we will have a guided tour of the urban and agricultural area, as well as the towers, ceremonial squares, sacred fountain, the Intihuatana or sundial and terraces from where you will contemplate the domains of the Inca.

After a guided tour of approximately 2 hours we will have free time to take pictures and in coordination with the guide we will descend to the town of Aguas Calientes. We will board the train to go to the train station where the transportation to the city of Cusco awaits us (we will leave you at your hotel).
