Paracas Full Day
- Duration: 4 hours
- Activity level: moderate
- Group size: large
The tour starts at the artisanal and tourist pier of El Chaco where we board our slider and observe in principle the type of boats that are used in the two main activities in the district of Paracas: Tourism and fishing.
We sail along the bay of Paracas and see the largest peninsula we have in Peru. We then stop at a northern point of the Paracas peninsula to look at, photograph and film the Candelabro where the tour guide in summary will explain about the measurements, materials of the area and its possible origin. The navigation continues and after approximately 15 minutes from the Candelabro you reach the Ballestas Islands where a great biodiversity is found thanks to the Humboldt current and the phenomenon of outcropping in addition to other factors such as the sun and winds. Birdwatchers will find a lot of these such as seagulls, seagulls, pikemen, cormorants, pelicans, vultures and Humboldt penguins. You will also see crustaceans, echinoderms, molluscs, seaweed and others. Definitely the highlight of the tour are sea lions or sea lions who steal everyone's attention because of the curious ness of their behavior (sleep, "pose for the cameras", or simply socialize and live without problems because they occupy the top of the chain of food in the area without natural predators).
The return becomes relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze is a natural anti-stress.
Around noon we start the tour to the Paracas National Reserve, it is designed for travelers looking for a dose of nature and bird watching in Peru. Relax while traveling in a modern transport through the Reserve, it protects a desert coastal landscape favored by seabirds, including flamingos. Dramatic landscapes and the opportunity to see these striking pink birds attract both photographers and bird lovers.
Restrictions: The operator does not allow babies under 1 year on the tour of the Ballestas Islands.
