Description
Visit to the independent province of Callao, located about 20km from the hotel zone of the city of Lima.
Visit to La Punta, a resort founded by Italian immigrants in the 1900s, where the yacht clubs are located. The architecture of this neighborhood is great to enjoy.
Nearby is the Royal Philip Fortress, built 250 years ago to defend the Peruvian coast during the colonial period, as it Lima was the economic center of the Spanish colonies in South America, attracting several pirates including Sir Francis Drake who attacked this port in 1579. Today this fortress is the museum of the Peruvian army.
Lunch at a local restaurant where you support a project for young people in the neighborhood to create and work in tourism instead of the old traditional escapes such as marketing drugs and pickpocketing.
