Overview
This tour of the Ballestas Islands, Paracas National Reserve, and Huacachina brings together three landscapes along Peru’s southern coast in a single day. It begins in Paracas and ends in Ica, offering a great way to continue your journey after enjoying the ocean and the desert.
The boat tour takes you past the Candelabro and the Ballestas Islands to see sea lions, Humboldt penguins, and birds. After returning to El Chaco, you’ll have some free time before visiting the Paracas National Reserve: the peninsula’s isthmus, Playa Roja, La Mina, and Lagunillas, where you can have lunch on your own.
In the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to Huacachina for a buggy ride and sandboarding. When you’re finished, you can continue on to your lodging or the Ica bus terminal, depending on the service arrangements.
