We will make a small walk towards the high part of the island (30 minutes), from where we will be able to appreciate the immensity of the lake and all its splendor, we will have lunch and we will know more about its textiles, inhabitants and customs.
It should be mentioned that they were declared by UNESCO as "Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity". Spinning and weaving are mainly done by men, who begin to perform this art from the age of eight. Through these weavings the inhabitants of Taquile show their civil status depending on the colors, sizes and mode of use. In the men the soletero uses a red and white chullo, while the married men use a red chullo. While single women wear a chullo with a larger and more colored pompom than married women.
