DAY 1:FULL DAY FOR LUNCH IN HUANCHACO, WITH HORSES AND A MARINERA SHOW INCLUDED
10:20 am We will go to the CHANCHAN MUSEUM, which exhibits various original objects found in Chan Chan.
Then we continue to CHANCHAN, composed of 9 citadels or palaces. Each one has similar formal characteristics such as: its monumental scale, very restricted access, the complexity and elaboration of its architectural forms.
We continue the tour arriving at HUANCHACO, a traditional fishermen's cove, whose inhabitants still preserve many of the customs of their Mochica ancestors; such is the case that the tiny boats called "caballitos" de totora continue to be the main work tool of the current huanchaquero fisherman.
1:00 pmLunch time.
We will stop at the Association of Breeders of Paso Horses "PALO MARINO" We will be able to appreciate for approximately 45 minutes, the spectacle of Peruvian Paso and Marinera Norteña horses.
2:30 pmWe then head out to the Moche countryside and appreciate the way of life of the mocheros, both in their craftsmanship, expressed in the manufacture of ceramics, leather work, wood and stone carvings, basketry, and others, as well as in their cuisine. It also allows us to appreciate the landscape where their traditional crops and family gardens stand out.
Finally we arrive at the HUACAS DEL SOL Y DE LA LUNA, considered a Mochica sanctuary made up of a group of monuments that physically represented the capital of the Mochica Culture from the first century B.C. to the ninth century.
DAY 2:LORD OF SIPAN: Sicán, Túcume and royal tombs
06:30 amDeparture from Trujillo to the city of Chiclayo
10:00 amArrival in the city of Chiclayo. Time for breakfast.
10:45 am We go to Ferreñafe, located 20 km north of Chiclayo, where we visit the NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SICAN, where you can see details of the domestic life of the SICAN population, as well as the manufacturing processes of ceramics and metals, in addition to the recreation of 2 tombs: West Tomb and East Tomb, which were characters of the nobility that contained gold ornaments and other valuable goods.
12:30 pmWe head to Tùcume, located 35 km north of Chiclayo, which was the capital of the Lambayeque culture, which comprises 26 pyramids where we find a pyramidal structure known as HUACA LARGA of 700 mts. In addition we can visit the Site Museum with an exhibition of the latest findings (burials and offerings, models of their pyramids, friezes in high relief, etc).
2:25 pmWe head towards Lambayeque. Lunch.
3:30 pmWe will enter the Tumbas Reales del Señor de Sipan Museum, where the original findings of the Sipan Archaeological Complex are found: Señor de Sipan, Sacerdote, Viejo Señor de Sipan and other important tombs of the Moche elite who ruled 1700 years ago and marks a milestone in the history of the country.
6:30 pmReturn to Trujillo.
10:00 pmArrival in Trujillo and transfer to the hotel.
DAY 3:ARCHAEOLOGICAL COMPLEX "EL BRUJO" AND THE LADY OF CAO
08:00 amBreakfast.
10:00 amDeparture to the Valley of Chicama to visit the EL BRUJO COMPLEX and the MUSEO DE LA SEÑORA DE CAO, where we will see a long sequence of cultural developments that have taken place there throughout more than 5000 years of human occupation.
14:00 pmReturn to the city of Trujillo.
