DAY 1
Arequipa/ Chivay/ Cruz del Condor/Pampa San Miguel/ San Juan de Chuccho
03:00am to 03:30amPick upfrom the hotel to transfer to the Colca Valley, the trip will take us approximately 4 hours until our first stop in the main town "Chivay", where we will stop for breakfast. Then we will continue the trip to the condor's cross (1 hour approximately), where we will stop to appreciate one of the best views of the Colca Canyon and the opportunity to be impressed with the flight of the mythical bird of the Incas, the condor. We will continue to Pampa San Miguel (we will arrive at 9:30 am approx.) from where we will begin the descent to the Colca Canyon, which will take us approximately 3 hours, during the tour we will appreciate, as we descend the diverse vegetation between Andean and tropical, and also the geological formation of the Colca Canyon, part of the formation of the Andean Cordillera.
Once at the bottom of the canyon we will arrive at San Juan de Chuccho, where we will stop for lunch. We will continue our journey to Sangalle (Oasis), a beautiful place located between the mountains of the canyon and where you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the pools of the place.
05:00 p.m. We will arrive at Sangalle Oasis where we can enjoy its swimming pool.
We will have dinner and spend the night in bungalows / cabins (basic).
DAY 02
Sangalle/Cabanaconde/Chivay/Arequipa
04:00amWewill begin the ascent (1300m), it is a zigzagging road and quite steep, but after approximately 3 hours we will have the satisfaction of finishing this beautiful journey.
8:30 a.m.We will arrive to Cabanaconde where we will have breakfast in a local restaurant, then we will take our transportation and return to Chivay, we will make a stop in Yanque.
Optionally you can enjoy the relaxing hot springs.
Arrival in Chivay, lunch and drive to Arequipa, on the way we will stop at the Mirador de Volcanes and the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve to observe South American camelids. . Arrival to Arequipa at 17.00 hrs approx.
